I found another artist that is so multi-talented. Catherine Kernan. She is from Massachusetts and works in some of my favorite areas. Watercolor, monoprints and most recently, large woodblock prints.

MATT BROWN REVISITED

Matt brown is the printmaker that inspired me to start making my first prints. I happened upon him giving a demonstration at a fair in one of the New England states ( can't remember which one now). I go to his website http://www.ooloopress.com/index3.html  and blog periodically to see what new prints he has created. He works with multiple blocks and on my last visit, I see that he is getting much more intricate with his technique.

NEXT WOODBLOCK PROJECT

I just placed an order with McClain's for blocks and paper for my next woodblock prints. This will be the hardest and most time intensive project I've attempted. Ten color blocks plus the key block. I have a good picture in my mind of what I want to do, just worried (as usual) about registration. "In thePark' (at left) was printed with four blocks and my hardest to date.
