My son and one of his two boys spent a couple of days with us. Levi has grown so much and is now really a hand full...but in a good way.

As I was cleaning up my studio and sorting through my apple crate of old art, I found some of the scratch board things I have done through the years. Forgot how much fun this technique is.

STUDIO REDO

My downstairs studio area is being carpeted so I have not been able to work on anything except a small scratchboard piece. Moving my drums was a real chore, but will give me a chance to clean the cymbals.

LEFT OVERS

Letting nothing go to waste...A small piece of scratchboard and some pastel paper cut from a larger project filled a number of hours over the past couple of weeks. The cityscape pastel is from a photograph a saw on the Spoonfeddesigns website. It took on a life of it's own and was lots of fun. Might want to try something like it on a larger scale.

SCRATCH THE ITCH

Still having time issues but I did find a little time to pull out a scratchboard drawing I had been working on. I can always add a few more lines and feel like I'm doing something creative.

OLD AND NEW

I was able to spend a few hours down in my studio yesterday, first working on a practice etching and then doodling on my scratchboard. I want to start a new copper etching and have ordered another plate. Until it arrives I did this etching on a sheet of acetate. Also had time to put more scratches on the scratchboard I keep handy.
