The last couple of weeks have been filled with coaching baseball. I'm a high school coach here in Big Bear and we are in the middle of league play. Still trying to find time for my art. Finished a pastel that I started and then set aside. Also ordered a new etching press. Pretty excited about that!
I started this pastel just to kill time because I didn't want to start a big project. Turns out that it is my favorite drawing. Maybe it's just the subject. My grandson Levi is becoming a person to be reckoned with!!
I'm am not very good with Facebook and probably don't understand the entire concept, but one of the people I have as a friend is John Steins. He is a fantastic artist who I started following because of his beautiful print making. His wood engravings are stunning. You might also enjoy his work...
I studied art many, many years ago, then drifted away from it pursuing a living. Ten years ago, through a love for photography, I revisited my art and creative side.
In this new adventure, I discovered printmaking. Linocuts and woodblock work hold so many surprises for me.
