REALLY...WATERCOLOR AGAIN

Okay, I'm getting sucked in again. Watching a few Sterling Edwards DVDs has me wanting to give watercolors one more chance. He makes it look so easy. This time I'm starting with small technique studies instead of jumping in with both feet. Left is a tree study where the trunk worked well, but not the leaves.

Also started a scratchboard drawing from a picture I saw on the Internet that reminded me of a friend's dog. I'll give it to her as a gift when I finish.

Naaa, leaves are fine. I'm wure you'll find even more things to do with them as you work in background lights and darks. That trunk really pops--nice.

William...thanks for being nice but I probaly don't have enough years left to really get anywhere close with watercolor!

I love your watercolor - leaves and all. Artists are always so critical of their work they never realize how much the "non-artist" enjoys it. Surely this must count for something!
