I have been working on a practice watercolor starting with watercolor that is poured onto the paper to start and moved around with my fingers (Lian Quan Zhen). I am now adding detail with positive and negative brush work.
Hey John, this technique sounds like so much fun! Good to see you still here creating beautiful work. I thought of you when I was seeing all the commotion going on in Big Bear... it made national news. Glad things are settling down now. I don't know what is going on with people, but it seems there's a whole lot of craziness going on in our world lately. Hope you are well & bet you are ready for spring... I know I am :)
I studied art many, many years ago, then drifted away from it pursuing a living. Ten years ago, through a love for photography, I revisited my art and creative side.
In this new adventure, I discovered printmaking. Linocuts and woodblock work hold so many surprises for me.

That is quite a sophisticated piece as it is. Think long and hard about touching it again. Best.
