Watercolor envy raises it's ugly head. My school friend from many years ago sent me a scan of her newest painting. She lives on Lopez island in the Pacific Northwest where she does beautiful watercolor, pastels and photography. I always get pulled into trying another watercolor after seeing her work, but not this time. I finished a pastel I had been working on instead.

Hi John,
just catching up on what you've been up to, which is alot! your pastels are grrreat! hmmm, in regards to your print dilemma, would you order the shina & start over, or have you put in too much work on that one already? i am trying to remember from print class- i kept having splintering problems w/ the woodblock, though that could have been me- not the wood! I trust your weather has improved since your snow earlier in the month! we got a little a couple of weeks ago, but now it's gorgeous! happy art making!
Hi Becky,
I'm now using a Dremal tool on my woodblocks and that has helped a bunch. I was looking at a website the other day (which I now can't find) about etching. The artist had drawn a bear that reminded me of the ones you do.
PS...chance of snow here tomorrow! Crazy!!
