I can't remember if I had posted anything before about this wonderful artist, but her pastels are fantastic. Her Youtube clips are where I first learned about the technique of applying paint (Gouache) to parts of the paper before using the pastels. Creates very different textures and patterns.One of my attempts below.

I think your 'attempt ' is beautiful John, gorgeous colors. I can quite relate to this , because I am doing a portrait in pastels at night before sleeping ( it is very relaxing:-) ), and I never did pastels before, being watercolor my tool. But I think it is great fun.
